NoteWings

For iPhone and Apple Watch

The screenshots you took to remember, turned into things done.

NoteWings reads your screenshots and photos, pulls out the dates, to-dos and key details, and lets you send each one where it belongs with a single tap.

Free to download. Your notes stay on your iPhone and in your own iCloud.

Each picture becomes a card. Send it to Calendar or Reminders, file it in its folder, or leave it for later.

Sound familiar?

You took the screenshot so you wouldn’t forget. Then you forgot the screenshot.

A poster, a receipt, a message with an address. Taking a picture is the fastest way to save something on the go. A week later it is buried between holiday photos and pictures of the cat.

NoteWings looks for the pictures with useful text and leaves the rest of your photos alone.

Life: left alonePictures with text: become cards

One tap each

Every picture ends up where it belongs.

Dates go to Apple’s Calendar, to-dos to Reminders, and everything else stays as a note in the right folder. No new planner to keep up.

Calendar

A poster becomes an event

The date and time are read from the picture. You check them and tap Calendar.

Reminders

A message becomes a to-do

NoteWings picks out the task and its date. You check them and tap Reminders.

Keep in a folder

A receipt finds its folder

Kept as a note with the total, ready when you need it again.

Hold a line

Only the line that matters

A long newsletter hides one thing to do. Hold that line, as in Photos, and send it to Reminders, Calendar or the note’s tasks.

Find it again

A folder for every card, and search that reads the picture.

NoteWings suggests a folder for every card. Later, browse by folder or on a timeline, or search for any word that appears in the photo.

Voice notes

Hands full? Say it to your wrist.

Record a thought on your iPhone or Apple Watch. NoteWings turns it into text and adds a card to your Inbox. From there, you send it to Reminders or Calendar with one tap, or keep it as a note.

“Call the plumber on Friday morning about the kitchen tap.”

How we built it

A sorter, not another app to look after.

You decide

NoteWings suggests; you confirm. Nothing reaches your calendar or reminders without your tap.

Uses the apps you have

Events and tasks go to Apple’s Calendar and Reminders, so they show up wherever you already look.

Private by design

Reading happens on your iPhone. No account, no ads, no tracking.

Your photos stay put

Deleting a note never deletes the photo. Clearing sorted screenshots from Photos is a step you start, and iOS asks first.

Sort when it suits you

Cards wait in the Inbox. Skip one and it is still there next time.

In your language

The app speaks many languages and writes your notes in the one you use it in.

Privacy

Your pictures are read on your iPhone. They stay there.

Text recognition, transcription and summaries run on the device. Your notes are kept on your iPhone and, if you use iCloud, in your own iCloud account. We don’t run servers that receive them. Read the privacy policy.

Questions

Good to know

Does NoteWings use AI?

Yes, on your device. On iPhones that support Apple Intelligence, NoteWings uses it to write titles and summaries. On other iPhones it uses Apple’s built-in text recognition and its own on-device rules, so cards can be simpler.

Either way, NoteWings reads text and can get things wrong. That is why you confirm every date and to-do before it goes anywhere.

Is it free?

NoteWings is free to download and you can sort your cards without paying. An optional subscription, NoteWings Pro, adds more automation and extras. What it includes and what it costs in your country are shown in the app and on the App Store before you subscribe.

Will it look at my personal photos?

NoteWings needs access to your photo library to find new screenshots and pictures with text. You choose what goes to your Inbox: “Screenshots only”, “Photos with text” or “All new photos”. Everything is processed on your iPhone and nothing is uploaded to us.

If you prefer not to give access, you can still send pictures to NoteWings from the Share menu.

Can it delete my photos?

Only when you ask. Clearing sorted screenshots out of Photos is a separate step you start yourself, and iOS asks you to confirm. Deleting a note in NoteWings leaves the photo where it is.

Which devices does it work on?

NoteWings is made for iPhone, with a companion app for Apple Watch. The App Store page lists the current requirements.

How do I get help?

Visit the support page. In the app you can also send a report from “Settings”, under “Feedback”.

Take the picture. NoteWings remembers why.
