Terms of Use

The short version

  • Your use of NoteWings is covered by Apple’s standard licence for App Store apps, plus the points below.
  • NoteWings reads text automatically and can make mistakes. Check dates, amounts and details before you rely on them.
  • Subscriptions are handled by Apple, renew automatically and can be cancelled in your Apple Account settings.

The agreement

By downloading or using NoteWings you agree to these terms and to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”). If these terms and the Standard EULA disagree, the Standard EULA applies. Our Privacy Policy explains how data is handled.

What NoteWings does, and its limits

NoteWings recognises text in pictures and speech in recordings, and suggests titles, summaries, folders, dates and to-dos. These suggestions are produced automatically and can be incomplete or wrong. Nothing is added to your Calendar or Reminders until you confirm it, and you are responsible for checking what you confirm.

Do not rely on NoteWings alone for medical, legal, financial or safety-critical decisions.

Your content

Your photos, recordings and notes belong to you. NoteWings processes them on your device so the app can work, and we do not receive them. Keep backups of anything important; for example, keep iCloud or another backup turned on for your iPhone.

NoteWings never deletes photos from your library on its own. Removing photos is a separate action you start, and iOS asks you to confirm it.

NoteWings Pro

Some features are available with an optional NoteWings Pro subscription. The features included, the subscription periods and the price in your currency are shown in the app before you buy.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
  • A subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the next period within the 24 hours before it begins.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription in the Settings app on your iPhone: tap your name, then Subscriptions.
  • If a free trial is offered and you subscribe before it ends, any unused part of the trial ends when the subscription starts.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies.

We may change which features are part of Pro. If a free feature moves to Pro, we will tell you in the app first. A change never removes what you have already paid for during your current period.

Acceptable use

Use NoteWings only with content you are allowed to use, and don’t try to reverse engineer, disrupt or misuse the app.

Changes and availability

We improve NoteWings over time, which means features can be added, changed or removed. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version, and significant changes will be announced in the app.

Liability

NoteWings is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
